Patrick Baldwin
A professional photographer for over 25 years and creating unit stills since 2003. My own performance background helps me to empathise with the needs of actors. I am extremely discreet, know how to work on a pressurised film set and have a deep understanding of what images are needed by the publicity and marketing departments and how to get them.
Highlights from Patrick
The highlights for me are the generosity of the actors.
On a short film with actor John Alderton, a household name in the UK TV sector, everytime I approached him off set he would drop into character and let me create images of his character. Amazing.
I did additional photography on season 3 of His Dark Materials for BBC/Bad Wolf and James McAvoy and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje were instantly happy to do a setup in a tunnel at the very beginning of the day that couldn’t be achieved during the take. Wonderful.
