Hi, I'm Connor

Connor Diffley

Filmmaking is a team effort, I’ve had the privilege to be able to work with and alongside some very talented people in the film industry. I want to celebrate their hard work, observe their skill and share it with an audience. I am a Unit Stills photographer and I want to help people share their stories through photography. I truly believe that photos can give us the time to look and reflect on people free from any pressure and without any reservation. By observing people openly, we can understand how they make us feel.

My Bio

In 2021/22 I trained with the leading and renowned Unit photographer Nicola Dove. For over five years I worked for Fujifilm as a Rep creating in-house studio photography, leading workshops and providing technical tutoring. Before this I had been assisting in various commercial photography studios. Prior to employment, I had studied documentary photography at Newport University and Photography at Falmouth University.

I now live in Blackheath, London. Photography has been my hobby and profession and I’ve been taking portraits ever since I got my first camera.

Highlights from Connor

In 2023/24 my photography was featured in The British Cinematographer publication twice which was a very proud moment for me, the cast and crew I worked with. From that production I am now due to work aboard on another feature imminently.

I find it hard to narrow it down to one favourite photographer because there are many however there are two or three whose work I also enjoy no matter what mood I am in and they are Elliot Erwitt and William Eggleston.

The same goes for films & directors, so hard to choose! Badlands by Terrence Malick is one of my all-time favourite films. I was brought up on Starwars: A New Hope and I’m a big fan of Michael Mann.

More recently though, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune was incredible. I also really miss the nerdy conversations with friends about Game Of Thrones predictions!
