Hi, I'm Jeremy

Jeremy Pelzer

I’ve photographed professionally for the past fifteen years, including unit stills for features, commercials and shorts.

With over thirty years experience in the film industry, I’m disciplined and skilled both on and off set, including image editing, production workflows and delivery.

Living just outside London, I’ve a second location base in the North of England. I’m always happy to travel if opportunities exist to collaborate on new projects.

My Bio

After college in the early 1990s, my first role was to support and assist Unit Photographer Keith Hamshere, capturing his first-look images for ‘Goldeneye’.

As a freelancer in the film industry, over the past thirty years I’ve worked on numerous Studio features, as a Unit Manager and Location Scout in the UK and internationally.

Key projects have included the Harry Potter series, Kick Ass, Tomb Raider, 102 Dalmatians, The World is Not Enough, Star Wars, Tomorrow Never Dies and Entrapment.

Following a BA Hons in photography, I’ve been an associate of the Royal Photographic society since 2012. For more information and to check my availability, please do get in touch.

Highlights from Jeremy

I love nothing more than working alongside colleagues, to capture and replicate in still imagery the stories they tell through motion picture, as well as documenting the work undertaken behind the scenes during the process of movie-making.

Henri Cartier-Bresson once said – “Then there were the movies. From the great films I learned to look and to see.” There’s an overlapping connectedness between film and photography; it’s hard to ignore the shared aesthetics, disciplines and technical attributes.

Over the course of my career, between freelance roles and assignments, I’ve also been integral in the development of a number of UK film studios, including Leavesden, 3 Mills, Ealing and Elstree Studios.

From September 2020, I’ve worked as a Senior Advisor with the British Film Commission, leading on support provided for a range of new studio expansions and developments throughout the UK’s nations and regions.
