Hi, I'm Hamish
Hamish Jordan
I’m a freelance photographer based in central London. I’ve recently graduated from the Film Stills Academy and have shot onset for a few productions. I operate like a ninja and deliver powerful, story-telling images without interrupting the flow of crew. I have a wealth of experience on a range of projects and have a deep technical understanding of how to get the best possible results in any given scenario.

Highlights from Hamish
My highlights include photographing for a short film, The Stupid Boy. The experience of working with that crew was amazing and ignited my interest in Film Stills. I’ve covered a BBC feature on the England football captain Leah Williamson, shot portraits for actor Stephen Mangan and most recently an album recording for Universal’s Decca record label.

BBC Production – Leah Williamson x BBC Concert Orchestra
Hamish worked with BBC Sport last year on a production featuring England captain Leah Williamson performing piano with the BBC Concert Orchestra at Maida Vale Studios.
The brief was to gather behind the scenes photography during the day as well as a handful of set up stills that we could choose from to create thumbnails.
It was a busy production with a tight running order so Hamish was very good at sensing how best to capture each scene intimately but from a distance.
We were really happy with the work, he produced which was utilised across press materials, thumbnails and social media.

Brilliant coverage of an important shoot day
Hamish did an outstanding job capturing stills on the most important day of filming for our BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying short THE STUPID BOY. He knew instinctively the kind of photos we would need and got on with capturing them without disrupting or disturbing the shoot environment. We used countless shots of his to promote the film over its 2 year festival campaign, with festivals, reviews and for press articles. I would not hesitate to recommend him for further BTS work.
