Lauryn Halahurich

Hi there, I’m Lauryn and I’m a unit stills and behind the scenes, theater and live performance photographer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I’ve been a unit stills and theater photographer for about six years and have worked on a variety of local short films and indie projects. I shoot because I enjoy capturing people when they are focused on doing what they do best, be it the lead actor, the director, the wardrobe specialist. I enjoy shining a light on all aspects of a production.

Currently, I’m looking to take on larger projects in the coming year.

My Bio

I picked up my first camera in 2012, shot Warped Tour from the audience and discovered a knack for shooting live performances. The next year I started college and fell in love with theater. Once I came to the very solid conclusion I was no good as an actor, I convinced the theater department to let me shoot department productions and that very quickly rolled into photographing local student projects and short films. Six years later, I haven’t stopped and have gained experience as a photojournalist as well.

Lauryn was recommended to me as I said photographer during pre-production of my short Star Wars fan film “The Fallen Apprentice”, and they didn’t disappoint! The photos that they took were absolutely exemplary and I was pretty amazed by the quality, some were even used for our posters and such! I definitely recommend them, I only wish I can provide more than 5 stars on this! 🌟
