My name is Steven Coleman and I’m an aspiring Unit Stills Photographer. I’m originally from NJ and currently based in Florida. I have 12 years of experience as a Freelance Photographer. I look forward to collaborating together.

My Bio

Steve grew a close bond with the sea at an early age. He shared his love for the ocean with his Mom who took him to the beach every summer. He loved to dive into the Atlantic Ocean with his friends and watch the local surfers as they graced the waves on the Jersey Shore. When he saw Bruce Brown’s “The Endless Summer” he was inspired to start making his own surf pictures. He was gifted a Polaroid camera from his Grandmother and he took to the beach. Eventually, making his way to study Film and Media Arts at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.

Currently resides in Florida. Ready to hit the road and/or sea with camera and skateboard in stow.

Some of my favorite filmmakers are Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan.

My favorite locations to shoot are on beaches and in the ocean.

Steve’s photos have been published on Surfline.com, Surfing, Surfer, ESM magazine/online and The Inertia to name a few. He’s been working as a Freelance Photographer/Videographer and camera assistant in FL, NJ & NY on various TV, Film, Sports, Commercial and Fashion projects since 2010.
