My Bio

Hedi Neijenhuis, who graduated from the BA Photography (Hons) course at the University of Westminster in 2024, has been doing unit still photography since 2021, but started her photographic journey in portraiture in 2018.

At university, she was introduced to the film industry, and now she thrives on film sets and loves working with everyone in the crew and cast. She knows how to adapt to different situations quickly, and knows when to be visible or invisible, and is not afraid to ask questions when needed to make sure everyone is happy with the final images that she produces.

Hedi’s bubbly but focused personality is visible in her photographs, where her photographs show playful angles but also knows to focus on the small details, in both behind the scenes and still shots she creates.

Always open to new connections, feel free to reach out to Hedi at any time.

Highlights from Hedi

One director that always stands out to me is Alanis Braun. She has directed and written two of my favourite films ever, Pulp by Rind and Salt Line.

What I admire about Alanis is the love and dedication she pours into the films, crew and cast, and she shows me appreciation for my work. She’s worked together with producer/1st AD Zara Trott several times, and together they’re a powerhouse. They both worked together on formerly mentioned films and made sure everything ran smoothly, and that everyone was taken care of. They fix problems before they even arise and I see them getting very far in the film industry.

I met them both through university and I’ve met many others there. Everyone I’ve met has been a delight to work with, and in a way everyone who I have ever worked with has contributed to me being the photographer I am today which I am eternally grateful for.
