Fantastic photographer
Gary was an absolute legend to work with. Very focused and a treat to collaborate with. Cannot wait to work with him again
Director
Gary did an amazing job with stills and EPK. he was an absolute delight to have on set and his professional nature made the actors feel safe and able to express themselves. He worked countless hours, he was always on set, but somehow managed to find time to edit and keep production up to date with photos from that day. There will always be a role for Gary on my set as a friend and a collaborator. Thank you Gary for your amazing work.
House of Gods
Gary took some beautiful stills both Behind the scenes and from the show itslwf that really captured the moment essence of what we were doing.
Great on set photographer
Gary is a consumate professional both on set and off. He is stealth-like in his ability on-set to obtain photos without getting in anyone’s way. His work speaks for itself and he is a polite, kind person, and very easy to collaborate with. Highly recommended!
Outstanding creativety on the feature film REMNANT
It was a pleasure and a privilege working with Gary for 6 weeks on my feature film Remnant. Gary shot unit stills, BTS, interviews, drone footage, and photography for the production.
Gary collaborated with my DP and the rest of the crew, to produce some amazing images and video footage. His professionalism and creativity brought another level to the production.
I look forward to working with Gary on my next production.
Great operator, great pics
Gary was pleasure to work with. His manner on set was just right, getting what we needed while navigating the needs of a busy set. His images were fantastic – creative and high quality, capturing character through frame choice and gentle direction when required. Highly recommend.
Great stills on Breaking Plates
Gary took amazing stills on “Breaking Plates” directed by Karen Pearlman. As a typical Physical TV Company production the film was an eclectic mix of documentary, dance, drama and Gary managed to capture all the surprises perfectly. The period pieces Gary also directed classic formal portraits of each character in costume that have a distinct timeless feel. We look forward to working with Gary again.
Gary Compton provides haunting stills for ‘Cut”
It was an absolute pleasure having Gary on the set of Samuel Lucas Allen’s short film “CUT”. The film is full of powerfully emotional dramatic scenes. Gary collaborated seamlessly with the First AD and the camera department to find discrete and efficient opportunities to shoot stills, behind the scenes photos and possible images for poster artwork. In the process, he captured the haunting quality of the film and a striking sense of the powerful performances it contains.
Outstanding photography-great to have on team
Gary spent the month with us shooting ‘Stills’ and ‘Behind the Scenes’.for our Feature GET FREE. The pictures Gary took were outstanding and he captured the key moments with sensitivity to each moment. Gary’s work is high quality and he exceeded our delivery expectations.. we highly recommend his services.
Stills for a Horror Proof of Concept Short Film
I had the pleasure of working with Gary on a proof of concept I shot in Sydney last year. Our film shoot was very tight and the location was very small, however Gary was great at staying out of the crew’s way while snapping production stills. Gary had some great suggestions for photos and was very easy to work with when I had suggestions of my own. His pics look fantastic and I highly recommend working with Gary on your next shoot.
