Catherine Frawley

I am a West Sussex / London based photographer with 12 years shooting experience, I moved into Stills photography last year after completing the FSFT course with Nicola Dove.

I am excited to capture that snippet of the story that will go on to tempt a viewer to watch a film and I love to seek those in between moments, that entice and intrigue. I love capturing the crew at work and showcasing their talents which often goes unseen.

My Bio

I’ve been a full time photographer for 12 years, beginning in weddings and portraits before moving into the world of food, chefs and lifestyle photography. I’ve worked regularly for a number of UK magazines, photographed 3 books for Quadrille publishing and have worked for Soho House, Interior Designer Abigail Ahern as well as a number of Bake Off & Masterchef contestants.

I discovered the world of film stills photography, which seems to encapsulate everything I love about the different genres of photography I have trained in – with weddings – working fast, efficiently, discretely and often only having one chance at getting the shot. Portraiture – seeing the light and capturing the essence of the person in front of me and food – noticing the details, the layers within and creating images that make you feel something.

I live in West Sussex with easy access to London but happy to travel.

I have worked with Catherine on our feature film in various stints since November 2022 and continuously on our feature film project for the remainder of its filming in 2023. I took great consideration with all the applicants that came my way and made the decision on Catherine’s approachable and bubbly personality, not only her extraordinary talent for stills!

Catherine brings great professionalism to set, does her utmost to be flexible, is extremely hard-working, open to ideas and very approachable and friendly.
