Augustin Hardy

I had the pleasure of working with Augustin as the unit stills photographer on our recent short film Leviathan, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience and results.

He was incredibly professional and dedicated, seamlessly fitting into the team and working brilliantly with both the cast and crew. His demeanor was exactly what we needed on set—discreet when capturing candid behind-the-scenes moments, and fully engaged when working directly with the cast for character portraits.

The quality of the work was great. Augustin captured the essence of key moments and characters perfectly.

Communication was clear and effective throughout the process, ensuring that the vision for the character stills was fully understood and executed. The delivery of the photos was impressively quick too. Ideal!

I would highly recommend him to others in the industry, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with Augustin again on future projects.

Hi – I’m Dean, co-founder of DrAx Productions. We’re a genre based film company. In December I produced the short film “Black Time” for writer/director Sharon Axcell (who is also my business partner). After receiving funding we put the project into pre-production and whilst looking for crew Augustin contacted me asking whether I was looking for a USP. – this threw me a bit as we hadn’t but it was obvious that we needed one, so we worked out the finer details and Augustin joined the team. And I have to say what a brilliant decision that was. From the moment he walked onto the set (our location was a crypt in Central London) we knew we were in safe hands. He was professional, approachable, a real team player. Not afraid at all to take direction but also where applicable offered valuable suggestions. He kept both myself and Sharon updated at all times and when we had visitors to the set Augustin was straight there making them feel at home as well. I cannot recommend Augustin and his work enough and I hope that we collaborate on lots more projects in the future. And a word to the wise, when you’re budgeting a movie and you wonder whether you should have a USP or not, the answer is yes !!!!! And make that person Augustin.

It was such a pleasure having Augustin and his wonderful skills on set for my short film, First Sight. His stills over the two days, which I received almost immediately after the shoot, were beautiful composed, finding unique angles separate from our footage, and told a story in themselves. They are already a real asset for the project, which I also plan to use as part of the film’s poster.

Augustin was exceedingly professional and friendly on set, and became a real part of the team whose company I enjoyed. Highly recommended, and I look forward to working with him again!

During production for our feature film project (Stargazers), we were fortunate enough to have Augustin as part of our team who not only brought his experience and professionalism to the set but also his positive attitude. Augustin was able to deliver stills of the highest quality but also integrate with the team to become an essential part of the production that we hadn’t expected. The quality of the photographs from Augustin was outstanding and elevated the value of the production. Each photo perfectly captured the story of the scene and will be used extensively in the distribution and marketing of the finished film. As filmmakers, we regularly work with photographers and we can safely say that Augustin should be top of your list and we would recommend him to anyone. He’s that good.

Having met Augustin on another short film I was helping out on, and seeing how he worked and integrated seamlessly with an already established crew, I knew I had to snap him up for our own project. He’s a total pro and took direction and requests very well and most importantly took initiative on capturing moments in a very discreet way that never got in the way of other departments doing their job on what was a very busy and intense set. Couldn’t recommend enough!

I asked Augustin to be on set for our production on the outskirts of London during an exhausting shooting day, and he showed up on time and with fantastic energy that reinvigorated the set. He brought the best out of our lead actor Tom, and we ended up using his photos both in promotional work and the poster. Would definitely work with him again.
